Small survey study of the audience
So I am in the process of developing the following, in this order:
- ModularDocumentDescriptionLanguage (MDDL);
- Interpreter for above language;
- Database structure and connection for the server;
- Generative subsystem for files;
- Site hub for server-based operations;
- JavaScript editor for client-based editing;
- Templates using the existing structure at www.eastcree.org;
- At this point, Marie & her colleagues can start filling in site content through the Monade editor;
- Various interface widgets (e.g.)
a working document describing the MonDoc engine is available here.
You may have trouble using this page if your browser window is smaller than 700x500px or your browser is less than IE5, NS4.7, Opera7 or if you are not on a PC. Please skim through this page by moving your cursor over green text; if further information on that text is available, it should appear in a floating note. Green text on blue background is part of the modular nature of this document; a click on such text opens a post-it-like layer on top of the page (a stickie). I suggest that you:
--- follow the stickies as deep as you have the time for: the argument or evidence for a statement is often buried several levels deep; welcome to document mining
Once you're done reading a stickie and all the stickies that open from it, if there's no 'Close' link at the bottom of the stickie, you can close it from the close button (
)
--- stay on this page, especially if you have several stickies open: if you follow the links leading to other pages, you will lose the current context (this is a pre-alpha prototype of the client-side MonDoc engine).
Feel free to email me any comments you may have. Now go back to the actual presentation. And remember to click on them sticky-poppers ![]()
